You’re not alone — and you don’t have to navigate it alone. I work with individuals and couples on behavioral addictions, sexuality, and relationships in Crown Heights and online across New York State.

Beyond the weekly session — immersive experiences for those who want to move faster or go further.
Through guided meditation, therapeutic processing, and approximately one hour of Holotropic-style breathwork, this 2.5-hour experience offers a space for deep emotional exploration, release, and reconnection. The session concludes with integration and reflection to help process and anchor the experience.
An immersive full-day couples therapy experience combining deep therapeutic work, guided breathwork, emotional processing, and experiential modalities to help couples reconnect, heal, and move through stuck patterns. 10am until 6pm.
I came to this work through life, not just through school. After 15 years running a business and four decades of living fully, I found my way to clinical social work because I genuinely love people. Not as a professional posture. As a way of being.
I specialize in sexual compulsivity, healthy sexuality, and attachment wounds — the places most people are too ashamed to bring anywhere else. My approach is psychodynamic at its core, woven through with 12 specialized modalities. The through-line is always the same: I walk alongside you. Not above you.
Want to get a sense of who I am before reaching out? Listen to Conversations with Shloimie — a podcast where I explore mental health, relationships, and the human experience with honesty and without filters.

Surviving betrayal is not the same as healing from it. Healing requires something harder: truth.
“From the first session, I could feel that Shlomo was different. He brings such presence and emotional depth to the room, it’s like he’s right there with you, feeling what you feel, but also calmly holding it all. He helped me make sense of things I’d carried for years, not by fixing me, but by walking with me through it. His intuition, empathy, and honesty are unlike anything I’ve experienced in therapy before.”
“We walked in feeling like roommates and left feeling like partners again. Shlomo created such a safe, non-judgmental space for us to address the silence between us. We’ve finally bridged the gap and are reconnecting on a level we haven’t felt in years. Highly recommend for any couple looking to deepen their intimacy.”
“Working with Shlomo has been life-changing. I’ve never felt so deeply seen and heard in therapy before. He brings this rare blend of compassion, insight, and realness that made me feel safe to explore things I’ve never said out loud. Shlomo doesn’t just listen, he feels with you, holds space without judgment, and gently helps you find your own way forward.”
“Shlomo has a gift for making you feel like you’re not broken, just human. His approach is deeply respectful and never pushy. He helped me understand my patterns without shame and guided me toward real change, at my own pace. I always felt like he was in it with me, not above me. Therapy with Shlomo is not just healing, it’s empowering.”
